See the highlights of Portugal. Start in the stunning city of Porto and then venture to the bustling streets of Lisbon. Get ready for an adventure of a life-time!
Welcome to the charming city of Porto! The second largest city of Portugal awaits you as you begin your amazing adventure.
There is lots to do here, so make sure you begin your exploration as soon as you check-in. Lather on your sun screen, and get out into the warm sun. Go and tour the streets and explore the place you will be staying at for the next 3 days. Try a new dish at a restaurant or even speak to the locals, just make sure to make some novel memories.
Day 2 commences with a day trip to the cities of Guimarães and Braga. Both cities are the richest regions to explore Portugal’s history.
Guimarães is known as the birthplace of Portugal and of the first Portuguese king. Here, you will see the medieval castle and spend some time in the historical city center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Revel in the well-preserved streets and monuments of Guimarães.
Your afternoon will then be spent in Braga. You will have lunch in an amazing restaurant, and then visit the cathedral and the historical center.
Today you will taste some of the most delicious wine you have ever tried. You will be momentarily leaving Porto and travelling to Douro Valley. This 9-hour tour is even enhanced with a chance to embark on a boat cruise.
You will leave Porto in the morning and be picked up in a comfortable luxury vehicle. Make sure to sit back and relax hits the road for the Douro Valley.
Once at Douro Valley, you will visit 2 different wine estates, and of course have the opportunity to taste some of the different types of wine such as Port Wine, Red and White Wine. This is all topped with the chance for you to experience a typical Portuguese meal.
Next, you will be whisked off on a Rabelo boat and enjoy a 1-hour ride on the Douro River. Take in the spectacular views around you.
Today you’ll learn more about Porto’s history. This 3-hour guided tour of the historic city centre is very extensive!
You will first stay off at the Cathedral, and then take a stroll to São Bento Train Station. For the book lovers, you will certainly marvel at the next stop. Livraria Lello is one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world.
As you tour Porto, you will encounter delightful houses with amazing azulejo tiles. You will also walk right beside the River Douro discover areas more unknown in Porto, such as Pena Ventosa and Vitória Hill.
You will definitely leave this tour with a better appreciation of the beauty of Porto.
After your amazing tour, you will then head back to your hotel to gather your things as you prepare to leave for Lisbon.
You will be travelling from Porto to Lisbon by Bus and the journey takes approximately 3.5 hours, so wear something comfortable!
Today starts off with exploring Lisbon. You will embark on a journey to discover one of Europe’s most captivating capitals. The tour is guided and lasts for 3 hours.
You will begin the tour at the Bairro Alto. The neighborhood is 5-centuries-old and is a great place to learn about the evolution of the city. Whilst here you will also enjoy views from the south bank of the Tagus River. Explore Lisbon’s gothic architecture as you head down the hill to Carmo convent and church. You’ll then see a number of attractions in Baixa, which is located in the heart of the city. After this there will be a chance to have a short break.
Once you re-group with the guide, you will take a ride on the tram, which is heading in the direction going up from the castle to the Portas do Sol. Here you will explore the famous Alfama district more.
You will end your tour at the grand Lisbon Cathedral.
After the tour you will have some time for a break in which you can go off and do more exploration on your own.
Later on that evening, you will enjoy a Fado in Chiado performance. The 50 minute show takes place in the center of Lisbon and features talented artists.
You will be leaving Lisbon today in order to tour some of Portugal’s most popular locations: Sintra, Cabo da Roca and Cascais.
The tour begins at Sintra, where you have the option to explore the colourful Pena Palace. Marvel at it’s lavish interiors and lush gardens. You will then head over to the centre of Sintra and get 1.5-hours of free time to wander on your own.
After this, you will continue to Cabo da Roca. Here you will digest the impressive views of the ocean crashing against the high rocky cliffs.
The last stop is Cascais. The seaside resort is simply charming. After a stroll through the city centre, you will be returning to Lisbon.
Your penultimate day in Lisbon will be spent on an 8-hour day tour. You will first stop at Fátima. This is where the famous apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima occurred. You’ll be able to visit the Chapel of the Apparition and the Holy Trinity Cathedral.
You will then continue on to Nazare. The seaside resort is known around the world for its giant waves. Here you will enjoy a delicious lunch at the beach and observe the giant waves for yourself.
Óbidos is your next stop. It is the most romantic village in Portugal and is known for its ancient legends and miracles.
After a intriguing week of exploring more of Portugal and it’s rich history, its time to say tchau! You are leaving from Lisbon airport and will be heading home.

You will start your trip by heading towards Silves. The historic village has a must-see castle to discover. After, you’ll continue to Silves Cathedral, and the Archeology Museum of Silves. Following this you will stop for a wine tasting, and try local wines. You will break for lunch soon after.
Later in the afternoon you will head to Monchique. On the way here, you will stop at the Thermal Spa of Caldas de Monchique. You will proceed to Fóia after spending some time here. This is the highest point in the Algarve region and one of the largest in Portugal.
