This four day tour of Madrid is the perfect way to enjoy the city’s many highlights and top attractions. From colourful and extravagant Flamenco dances to peaceful riverside walks and fascinating cultural tours, you’ll see all the best bits of Madrid in under a week.
Upon arrival, you’ll have a chance to settle into your hotel before your first tour begins. You’ll start by exploring Madrid on one of the city’s popular hop-on hop-off buses, seeing famous sites from the historic Royal Palace to Madrid’s modern skyscrapers.
Later, you’ll see one of Madrid’s most well-known attractions, a live Flamenco Dancing show. The venue is inspired by the iconic Alhambra, and you’ll enjoy a delicious dining experience along with the evening’s entertainment.
Don’t worry if your flight is scheduled late in the day, you can swap any of these activities over to Day 2.
Today you’ll enjoy the Royal Palace guided tour (with skip-the-line tickets) which will take you around Plaza de Isabel II, the private royal apartments, and the beautifully maintained royal gardens.
You also have the option to either visit the Bernabeu Stadium for a guided tour or the Las Ventas Bullring and Museum. The stadium tour includes direct access tickets and video commentaries about the stadium’s shorty and famous matches, while the Las Ventas tour shows you cultural landmarks and explains the city’s unique heritage in connection with bullfighting and sports.
Day 3 includes a day trip from Madrid to the incredible historic cities of Segovia and Toledo. You’ll depart from the city center by bus and enjoy a scenic ride towards the UNESCO-listed city of Segovia, which is famous for its landmarks including a Roman aqueduct and a beautiful Royal Palace.
Next, you’ll visit the equally historic city of Toledo, also known as the City of Three Churches, where you can discover its medieval neighborhoods and charming streets as well as its unique blends of cultures and religions.
On the last day of your holiday, you’ll depart from Madrid. If your flight is scheduled for later in the day, you can enjoy spending even more time in this beautiful city. Some of our top recommendations (at an additional cost) include:
The Escorial Monastery and the Valley of the Fallen tour are all about discovering more of Spain’s fascinating history and heritage, from the royal tombs to the Civil War monuments and more.
The Prado Museum tour is sure to interest any art lovers. The museum houses work by various local and international artists including Titian, Rubens, and Velazquez.

If you feel like 4 days just ain’t enough time to fully explore Madrid and the surrounding areas, you can add an extra day to your tour. A popular optional tour is the Avila and Salamanca Tour which takes you from Madrid to both UNESCO listed cities. Highlights here include Avila’s beautiful Cathedral and the Basilica of St Vincent along with Salamaca’s stunning sandstone architecture. Another option is the Madrid Art Walk which gives you skip-the-line tickets to three of Madrid’s world class art galleries; the Prado Museum, the Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza. Known as the ‘Golden Triangle of Art’ these places hold some of the most important and beautiful artworks in the world.
