Itinerary

Day 1Arrive in Edinburgh

On the first day of your tour, you’ll arrive in Scotland’s famous capital city, Edinburgh. You’ll have plenty of time to settle into your hotel and explore the city on your own before the guided tours begin.

Day 2Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour

Today you’ll start off your holiday with a comfy ride on one of Edinburgh’s signature red tourist buses.

Learn more about Scottish history as you travel past some of Edinburgh’s most iconic highlights, including Edinburgh Castle, the Botanic Gardens, Holyrood Palace, and the stunning Royal Yacht Britannia.

Day 3Whiskey Tasting Tour

Today you’ll get to experience the pinnacle that defines Scottish life – whiskey. You’ll embark on a luxury whiskey tasting tour that includes an evening of folklore and traditional storytelling.

Along with a selection of malts to try, you’ll be given tasting cards that showcase each unique flavor and taste.

Day 4 Harry Potter Tour & Underground Tour

As you may know, JK Rowling started writing the record-breaking Harry Potter series in a cafe in Edinburgh, and today you’ll go on a Harry Potter-themed walking tour around the city.

Explore the famous Elephant House Cafe, visit Tom Riddle’s grave in Greyfriars Kirkyard and test your Harry Potter knowledge throughout the tour.

After your first tour of the day, you’ll be off on another adventure, exploring the underground vaults of Edinburgh. Edinburgh’s Old Town is built on top of old 18th-century buildings and houses, so there’s plenty to explore in the hidden underground ruins.

Day 5 Loch Ness and Glencoe Tour

Today you’ll leave Edinburgh on a guided day trip towards the Scottish Highlands. You’ll pass scenic Glencoe then stop off halfway to enjoy coffee and learn about the myths and fables of ancient Scottish lore.

Finally, you’ll arrive at Loch Ness, one of Scotland’s most famous attractions. Whether you just want to enjoy the scenery or you’re searching for the elusive Loch Ness Monster, this will be one of the highlights of your trip.

Day 6 Travel to Glasgow

Today you’ll be heading to the bustling city of Glasgow. Known as Scotland’s ‘cultural capital’ Glasgow is home to the Scottish Ballet, the Scottish Opera, and the National Theatre of Scotland.

Once you arrive and get settled in, you can enjoy the hop-on hop-off bus services that take you around the city giving you an overview of Glasgow’s highlights.

Day 7Loch Lomond and Stirling Castle Tour

Today you’ll be learning more about Scotland’s unique history – including William Wallace, Mary Queen of Scots, and Rob Roy – as you explore Stirling Castle and Loch Lomond

You’ll enjoy a scenic and relaxing cruise around Loch Lomond followed by a guided tour of Stirling Castle which was famously a focal point of Scottish diplomacy and politics for hundreds of years.

Day 8Depart from Edinburgh
