Nobel Prize Museum
The Nobel Prize Museum is located in the former Stock Exchange Building on the north side of the square Stortorget in the Old Town, Gamla Stan. The Nobel Prize Museum illustrates a century of creativity, where visitors can follow the changes of the 20th century through the Nobel Prize and the Nobel Laureates. It aims to spread knowledge and create interest and discussion around the natural sciences and culture through creative learning, exhibition techniques and modern technology.
The City Hall
The Stockholm City Hall is one of Sweden’s most iconic landmarks, famed for being the place where the Nobel Banquets are held annually. It houses offices for 200 people including the Municipal Council, and is also famous for its grand ceremonial halls and unique art pieces.
It is one of the capitals most visited tourist attractions, which you must see for yourself. When here, as well as taking a tour of the halls, make sure you check out the City Hall adjoining tower, as it offers a breathtaking view of Stockholm.
Vasa Museum
The Vasa ship capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. After 333 years on the seabed, this warship was salvaged and restored. Vasa is the worlds only preserved 17th century ship, which is now being displayed at a museum. Now you get the opportunity to get up close and personal as you tour this amazing piece of Swedish history. Take a Dip in Storkyrkobadet
Located in the old part of Stockholm is Storkyrkobadet, which is an underground pool. Dating back to the middle of the 18th century, this is one of the most interesting spots in visit in town.
Men are welcome in the pool on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sunday, and women can come on Mondays and Thursdays. When you enter, face masks and baths bombs are available to purchase.
The Ericsson Globe
The Ericsson Globe is an indoor arena located in Stockholm Globe City, famously known for being the largest spherical building in the entire world. Take a trip to the top of the globe and admire the incredible views over the city it has to offer.
Drottningholm Palace
The Drottningholm Palace is the private residence of the Swedish royal family, and is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
